California Rural Water Association - DWR Partnership
California Rural Water Association (CRWA) and DWR
are partners in an effort to provide education and training
for small water systems and their communities to plan and
secure a more reliable water source. CRWA, an affiliate of
the National Rural Water Association, is a nonprofit organization
of rural water and wastewater systems serving small communities.
Through a partnership with DWR, CRWA is developing and implementing
a drought preparedness program to lessen the effects of drought
on these small systems. The program includes: guidebook for
emergency/disaster response plans as well as assistance in
preparing response plans, drought preparedness training workshops,
resource library and website, and technical assistance on
water conservation and proper well construction.
